James (Woody) Woodruff: President

Woody founded Crux Events in 2008 to provide the Lake Tahoe area with a full-service production and rental agency.  After 20 years of staging some of the world's largest events,   he saw a need in his hometown of Truckee, CA,  to provide more diversity in the rental and production businesses.  The decision was enhanced by his desire to limit his travel and be with his two young children and wife Amanda.  Prior to forming Crux Events, Woody was the Co-Founder and CEO of Global Event Management, Inc , VIce President of New Business at Eclipse Television and created the non profit orgaization, The Bob Woodruff Foundation (remind.org) with his three brothers.  Woody has also worked for IMG,  AVP, The Pro Ski Tour, GGP, Group Dynamics,  and The Event Group.  His Client portfolio includes: M&M Mars, Fidelity Investments, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse First Boston, Goldman Sacs, Red Bull Energy Drink, Hansen's Beverages, Pedigree Food for Dogs, Uncle Ben's Rice, Jeep, Ford, Lexus, Chysler, Gatorade, Target, Kodak, Miller Brewing, Budweiser, and many more.  jwoodruff@cruxevents.com

Amanda Woodruff: Vice President 

Amanda is the backbone of our hospitality programs and keeps us all in order.  For 15 years Amanda worked with Golden Gate Productions and International Management Group (IMG)  as their VP of Events in San Francisco.  She currently manages a number of projects for our client Juma Entertainment including: Deer Valley Celebrity Ski Fest, Battle of the Gridiron, ABC Superstars, The Ultimate Merger, Singing Bee & more.  awoodruff@cruxvents.com

Rob Miller:  Logistics Coordinator

Rob is our resident "true local" and general all-around wealth of information.  After leaving Tahoe for five years to investigate what Southern California had to offer, including a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, he realized the mountains is where he ought to be.  Rob is responsible for keeping our operations in order, he is a man of many skills and can answer all your questions.    rmiller@cruxevents.com

Chris Keller:  Technical Director

Chris joined us after working at Northstar-At-Tahoe  Village services and the Ritz Carlton.  He is truly our "Swiss Army Knife / MacGyver" and wears many hats.  Chris is responsible all lighting design, audio installs, and all things technical.  If you have to plug it in, Chris is all over it.  This Texan knows how to get 'er done and he must love it, as you can't wipe the smile of his face!  ckeller@cruxevents.com
